Message from the Director
Thanks to everyone who attended our joint annual meeting with the Hamilton Business Alliance on June 5th. Great reports were given by HBA and PCD of the year’s accomplishments and plans for the coming year. Both organizations have greatly expanded programming and impact over the last year and continued to grow our collaboration. Read more about PCD’s accomplishments in the annual report below.
Also, you’ll notice our new logo. A big thanks to Romanelli Communications for the design. Soon we’ll be launching PCD’s new website as well.
Annual Meeting 2018
This past year has been very busy for PCD! We’ve continued our outdoor recreation initiative, started working with the Village and Town on a new housing strategy, and continued to work with local businesses and farms through grants, workshops, and more.
NYS Certification Workshop for Minority- & Women-Owned Businesses
This training, presented by the NY SBDC’s Government Contracting Coordinator Judy Wolf, will provide an overview of the NYS certification programs for women-, minority-, and service-disabled veteran-owned companies, including eligibility criteria and benefits of certification. Judy will also take participants on a step-by-step review of the MWBE/SDVOB application process, which can appear daunting when you first start to explore it on your own. Discussion will include the documentation requirements, key elements of your application, and a live demonstration of the online application itself and some best practices for completing your application.When: Wednesday, June 13th, 8:30 a.m.
