Microenterprise Grant Program
Are you a small business owner interested in expanding? Are you an entrepreneur working on a new business? The PCD has grants between $5,000 and $35,000 available for new and existing small businesses in Madison County. The deadline to apply is September 30th at 5:00 p.m.
Eligible businesses must:
- be located in Madison County
- have five or fewer employees including business owner(s)
- be able to complete an SBDC Small Business Basics course if awarded
- contribute at least 10% owner equity to their project
- be able to fulfill all income and job creation requirements
All grant funds will be received on a reimbursement basis.
This program is made possible through NYS CDBG Microenterprise funding and is subject to certain income requirements. Below is a chart detailing the 2024 low-to-moderate income limits for Madison County. Applicants whose household income is above the threshold listed must create at least one full-time equivalent job made available to low-to-moderate income (LMI) individuals as part of their grant project. Applicants whose household income falls below the threshold do not have to complete this requirement.
