Colgate Thought into Action
TIA is Colgate University’s rigorous entrepreneurship program that brings community members, students, and mentors together to help existing and new businesses develop their ventures.
Hamilton Business Alliance
Striving to increase cooperation and collaboration among local business in order to strengthen and enhance the business climate in and around Hamilton, NY. We do this by sharing resources, identifying and implementing cooperative opportunities and creating a strong referral network among member businesses.
Hamilton Co-Working
A modern co-working facility at 20 Utica Street in the Village of Hamilton, developed in collaboration between Colgate’s Thought into Action (TIA) Entrepreneurship Program and the Partnership for Community Development (PCD).
Madison County Cooperative Extension
Providing support to agricultural businesses through education and other programming.
Madison County Industrial Development Agency
Offering a range of resources to small and growing businesses in Madison County including funding opportunities.
Mohawk Valley Small Business Development Center
Offering free training, advertising, and advice to current or aspiring small business owners in Fulton, Herkimer, Madison, Lewis, and Oneida Counties.
Nelson Farms
Providing entrepreneurial agri-business opportunities for specialty food processors, farmers, growers, and producers. Opportunities include: processing, product development, distribution, marketing & sales, and more.
The New York State Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development
Offering training and promoting equality of economic opportunities for MWBEs and to eliminate barriers to their participation in state contracts.
SBDC Office Hours in Hamilton
The Mohawk Valley SBDC now offers FREE appointments with an SBDC business advisor right in Hamilton. Appointments are available on the third Tuesday of every month and will be held at 20 Utica Street. Appointments can be made through the SBDC at the link below.
Courses & Workshops
PCD works with the Hamilton Business Alliance, Mohawk Valley SBDC, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and more to bring a variety of seminars and workshops to local business owners.
